Mydisktest V2.42 !!top!! ❲Fast • 2026❳
Flash memory inherently contains some defective sectors, but excessive bad blocks indicate poor manufacturing quality. MyDiskTest scans the drive's NAND flash memory to identify bad blocks and can even perform "soft shielding" to mark these sectors as unusable, preventing data from being written to unreliable locations.
Before running any tests, users should back up any important data already stored on the device. While MyDiskTest does not intentionally destroy existing data, expansion testing involves writing test patterns across the drive. On counterfeit devices, this process can potentially disrupt existing files. The software displays appropriate warnings before beginning destructive tests.
MyDiskTest V2.42 is a free, portable Windows utility specifically engineered to diagnose USB flash drives, SD cards, and CF cards. It specializes in detecting "expanded" or "fake" drives—devices where the firmware has been hacked to report a false, inflated storage capacity to your operating system. Mydisktest V2.42

If you are testing an old drive to see if it is dying, back up your data first. The "Stress Test" function in MyDiskTest is intensive and can be the "final straw" for a failing flash chip.
